It was in the State that Lee made his name and came up with the now legendary Monster Jam nights. Locking out every week, Lee was creating a style of DJ'ing all of his own, with his now famous accapella use creeping into his mixing more and more, soon Lee was being chased by all the major clubs in the North West. 

The State will always be close to Lee's heart and some of the massive PA's he brought there will live long in the memory of Liverpool clubland. With lockout crowds every weekend, and with a very special party atmosphere, The State is legendary amongst Liverpool clubbers.

The lure of a fresh challenge and a new night meant Lee would be the new resident/promoter of the Buzz Club in Lime Street. The State then closed down within 6 months of Lee leaving! It was at the Buzz Lee started his crazy club night's "Best of British" and soon the Buzz was up there with the best clubs in the city, locking out every Friday and Saturday, and every dance fan was playing Lee Butler tapes on the car stereo as they drove around the city.

Lee was now playing at gigs and clubs all over the North West; Wigan Pier, Bowlers, Maxines, The Pleasure Drome , Nation , Garlands & Mr Smiths are just a few of the big name venues Lee was being asked to rock the rafters at week after week. 

It was at this time Club 051 came in with an offer Lee couldn't refuse, and so Lee made the move from Lime Street to Mount Pleasant, and the 051 was the new place to be. In partnership with Dave Graham, Lee was about to embark on the latest chapter of his tour around the club scene, and again it is no coincidence, that within 6 months of Lee leaving the Buzz, it closed its doors for good.

Club 051 was packing them in, and the new buzz on the streets was a phenomenon called "Sexy Medicine", locking out every Saturday night to over 2000 screaming clubbers. With flags with Lees name on, for the big "Battle of the Heavyweights" night, to the live broadcasts on the "Clubzone" every Saturday night in 1997 - the rest is history, and Lee was riding the crest of a wave. In addition, who can ever forget the legendary Friday nights "Sex" at Garlands where Lee Butler and Dave Graham rocked the house every weekend. Oh the memories!!

Lee subsequently went on to rock clubs in Ibiza and The BCM in Magaluf... He has been voted Liverpool Echo 24/7 "Dj of the Year" 6 tikes and the awards stand proud next to his decks to this day.

Lee Butler now seems to be a household name in the North West with all club-loving people at some point partying to his big tunes... Even now Lee is gigging like a mad man all over the country as well as still having residencies in his beloved Liverpool. Having partied with the likes of Tinchy strider / Robin S / Prof Green / Alexis Jordan / Judge Jules / Farley Jackmaster Funk / Daryl Pandy / Rozalla just to name a few... There was only one thing left to do...

The next step was Radio!!

Lee's "Plastic Surgery" show was born when Lee started his show from new home of Radio City - St Johns Beacon.

Plastic Surgery became The North West's most listened to  Friday Night Dance Show, and so Lees Saturday night show was then born. Lee can be heard pumping out his magical sounds and his own unique style of presenting every Friday from 10pm and Saturday nights between 9pm - Midnight to the masses on Liverpools Hit music station Radio City 96.7.

Lee can now be found on Radio City in Liverpool every Sat and Sun from midday - 4pm with his unique scouse banter ! 

Lee then became very busy in the Studio working on his own tracks and is responsible for many of the big dance anthems you hear, also remixing for big labels. Lee was signed to AATW Records and responsible for many huge remixes as well as the legendary scouse label BCD Records. 

The big dream was to create a dance music festival that like minded ravers could come to to party ‘like we use to’ so Lee took the plunge and ‘Reminisce Festival’ was born .. Bringing in legendary acts from all over the globe.

The first Reminisce festival took place in 2014 and was a resounding success. The second year saw the capacity double and a switch from an all day party to more of a festival vibe - with the addition of two more tents, extra bars and a fun fair. Again, attendees flocked there in their thousands and Reminisce 2015 was an absolute cracker. Since then the festival has gone from strength to strength and in 2018 Reminisce was a total sell-out, with 14,000 descending on Sherdley Park for a day and night of magic.

That was 6 years ago and this year in 2019 Reminisce Festival welcomed over 17.000 loyal ravers from all over the world to Sherdley Park in St Helens with over 150 global acts in 6 huge big top arenas.
